Life Management & Success Coach - Steve Decker  Photo: Natalie Spiteri

Steve Decker has a passion to help people make positive change in their lives.

Each month the life-management coach offers free seminars on a range of topics that affect daily living.

This week's seminar, on Wednesday night at Castle Hill Community Centre, is titled "How to Boost Your Self-Image and Confidence".

"If I ask people to write down 20 things that are great about themselves, they struggle" Mr Decker said.

"But they have no trouble thinking of 20 negative things. I see a lot of youth suffer from self-image issues."

Mr Decker, who also does business coaching, began working in life management four years ago after undergoing his own life makeover.

"I was in the RAAF for 19 years, working in IT and communications," he said. "I came to a point where I needed to make some changes in my own life. I wasn't fulfilled with what I was doing in the Air Force.

"I also had some issues from childhood, and I decided when I had children, that I wanted to resolve them. I went on my own personal development journey."

Mr Decker said he wanted to help others to overcome their own obstacles and make positive life changes too.

He did some training and started working with clients on a part-time basis, and the business grew.

In the past four years he's helped many people to achieve a more fulfilling life, through better decisions in their business, finances and health, and even career changes.

"I line people up with what's more true to themselves, help them to step out of their comfort zone and realise their full potential," he said.

"Everybody has their own answers. I help them to bring that to the surface."
